It is hard to believe Thanksgiving is next week. We wanted to send out a reminder about the 2020 summer swim team coordinator role. There is still the opportunity to take on this very rewarding role. The Cobb Summer Swim League (CSSL) will hold the annual Coordinator's Meeting for the 2020 season on Wednesday, February 12^th. The meeting will be held at the Smyrna Community Center (200 Village Green Cir SE, Smyrna, GA 30080). A representative of each team (typically the coordinator) is required to attend.

The response for the 2020 Coordinator role thus far has been minimal to put it kindly. There has been absolutely zero response from the swim team parent group. We would like to start the transition process sooner rather than later to avoid potential issues of trying to rush the process in the spring. This is a great seasonal volunteer role that allows you to be involved with your children and support our wonderful community.

As we have stated before, we will be available as a resource to help in any way for the new coordinator(s). We don’t plan to dump and run; we will be here to assist, support and advise. The team is in a great place from an administrative and financial perspective. The website, team management and meet software are the latest and greatest available. The finances are in good shape, the biggest challenge is recruitment of swimmers. We need more kids from Chestnut Springs to participate.

If no one ends up taking over the team, we will turn over the banking info to the HOA Board to ensure transparency with the accounts. There is just no way that we can take the responsibility of the team for another year.
